Our back-to-back logo

  • Logo history

    Logo history

The Research Cooperative logo shows two people sitting back to back. They look outward as individuals, while supporting each other as a pair. Some people do actually sit like this, for work or for relaxation.

The logo is intended to encourage a balance between individual and cooperative efforts in research and writing.

To make the logo abstract and unique, the original was painted with brush and ink. This was digitised for conversion to various colours. Further versions have been made for use in different contexts, but all showing the same scene of two people sitting back to back.

These various versions represent The Research Cooperative as free-standing logos, and also in combination with our name, or our website address.

Athelas font "&" flipped and paired. Both figures are reading a text (or looking at their tablets?)
