Many kinds of sponsorship are needed to develop and promote the Research Cooperative effectively. Any advice or offers related to sponsorship would be welcome - please contact Dr Peter Matthews (researchcooperative at gmail dot com). For a background statement about the aims of The Research Cooperative, please see our note on 'Site history and philosophy'. To learn about recent and current sponsor activities, see our News page. Regarding our financial status, see: 'Who is paying for this network?'.
Various kinds of sponsorship are noted here, for consideration by potential sponsors.
1. Link sponsorship (non-financial). A sponsor can be the owner of another website that adds a link to this site. In return, Research Co-op can provide a link to the sponsoring site, or acknowledge the help in some other way.
2. Academic sponsorship (non-financial). This can be a university or other tertiary-education organisation, a research department or institute, an academic society, an academic journal, or a government organisation. The sponsorship can be any kind of written support for The Research Cooperative (as a site, and as an NPO). Support can be expressed in the form of a letter of support, by recommending our site to affiliated students, teachers and researchers, and/or by publishing information about the site or links to the site in various media.
3. Industry sponsorship (non-financial). Publishers, educational broadcasters, or language-service companies that support research-based communication may also wish to be sponsors. The sponsorship can be any kind of written support for The Research Cooperative (as a site, and as an NPO). Support can be expressed in the form of a letter of support, by recommending our site to affiliated individuals or organisations, or by publishing information about the site (and links to the site) in various media.
4. Financial sponsorship. Financial support is definitely required to develop and expand the use of our website. In return, we can report the support of sponsors on our website and in occasional messages sent to all members. Expressions of interest from potential sponsors (individuals, public or private institutions, and private companies) are welcome at any time.
All of our sponsors can expect to benefit from association with a growing network of people with strong interests in research, and research communication.
