Welcome to the forum for proofreading requests.
Since proofreading is usually needed for texts very shortly before the scheduled printing or publication date, it is wise to find a proofreader long in advance of the publication date.
Proofreaders generally do not need to be a specialist for your topic, but they do need very specific information about the house style of the publisher and publication concerned.
This might consist of a copy of the author guidelines from the publisher, and examples of previous work published by that publisher.
