Animations for education - from the RSA, United Kingdom
The RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) describes itself as'
"an enlightenment organisation committed to finding innovative practical solutions to todays social challenges. Through its ideas, research and 27,000-strong Fellowship it seeks to understand and enhance human capability so we can close the gap between todays reality and peoples hopes for a better world."
This seems rather close to the aims of the Research Cooperative, and is backed by long history back to the 18th century.
For teachers and students, the RSA Animate video series is a rich resource.
In this series, anthropologists, economists, historians, biologists and others talk while an artist sketches the story on a white board - creating a speeded-up comic strip with serious intentions.
