- Title: Unity as a focus for effective research writing and editing
One important quality of research manuscripts that communicate effectively to readers is unity, the whole combining all its parts into one. Unity can serve as a useful focus in both planning the writing process and in the final pre-submission polishing. Good substantive editing also requires an awareness of the whole and how all the individual parts of a manuscript work together toward the overall goal. In explaining techniques for authors and editors to maximize unity, Rick will try to present a unified seminar.
