When a message is posted on a group page, all other members of the group will be notified that a new topic has been started in the group discussion.

Only Co-op members who have joined a group can reply to messages, but all members of the Research Cooperative can see the group page and join if they wish.

The group owner can and should moderate the group discussion, and should remove members who post spam or irrelevant comments.
