Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)
The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) is a nonprofit organization providing guidelines to help journal editors handle disputes in scientific publishing (see "Coming to Grips with Coauthor Responsibility" at The-Scientist.com, Internet, 1st May 2017).
And more than this, the COPE website explains that "COPE is committed to educate and support editors, publishers and those involved in publication ethics with the aim of moving the culture of publishing towards one where ethical practices becomes the norm, part of the publishing culture."
