Invitation letter

Members of the Research Cooperative may use the following letter as a template for sending invitations to friends, colleagues, and research students.

This letter provides a more complete explanation than can be given with the "Invite" tab above (click on "Invite" tab and choose one of the options for sending short invitations to others).

Dear Mr/Ms/Dr/Prof ...

I am writing to introduce the Research Cooperative, a social network for researchers, science writers, editors, translators, illustrators and publishers.

The Research Cooperative was established in 2001 as an international, not-for-profit organisation (NPO). Membership is free, and we do not conduct any financial transactions. Our mission is to provide practical support for academic, scientific, and popular research communication in all subjects, countries, languages, and media.

Our English-language forums can be used to request or offer volunteer or paid services.

We welcome learners, experienced practitioners, professionals, groups, institutions and companies as members. Members may invite others to join our network, and can also establish or join groups inside our network for discussions related to research communication, publishing, and publishers.

We currently have more than 3,000 members, from all regions of the world.

Yours sincerely,
