Using Baidu search
At present (March 2010), it seems that the Baidu search engine cannot be used to search our site, but it may be possible for visitors from China to use the internal search system provided on our site by Ning.
For finding educational and research information in China, Baidu.com may be one of the best search engines to use, even if we need to use a machine translation service to translate keywords.
To help those of us who cannot read Chinese, I have translated the Baidu.com search fields here. This page can be viewed alongside a window with the Baidu page showing, and another window with an instant translation service (many such services are available):
Results contain all of the following keywords [Field 1]
Search with the exact keywords [Field 2]
Results contain any of the following keywords [Field 3]
Results to not include the following keywords [Field 4]
Select the number of search results to be displayed [Dropdown menu 1]
The time limit for search time is [Dropdown menu 2]
Choose web language for search: A. All languages B. Only Simplified Chinese C. Only Traditional Chinese.
Limit search to the following document formats [Dropdown menu 3]
Choose location of search keywords:
A. Anywhere on the page, B. Only on the title page, C. Only in the page URL.
Limit search to the specified URL (domain or subdomain), for instance: baidu.com
