Work: Golf, Religion, Autism I have embarked on an idiosyncratic research career - trying to understand what happens in the autistic mind, with a particular focus on symbolic abilities and understandings (religion is the idiosyncratic part). As far as I am concerned, there are many reasons to become interested in the neurons and synapses that, at a microscopic level, are surely accomplishing cognitive feats like integrating analog types of symbols or recognizing an universal archetype.
