He got his MSc and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering at Ege University. He worked in Ege University as an Instructor between 1989 and 2000. He has been working as a chief senior scientist at TUBITAK Marmara Research Center Energy Institute since 2000. His experience is based on Chemical Reactor & Process Simulation and Modeling, Reformer Design and Operation, Reaction Engineering and Fuel Cell Systems. He is the author of more than 30 publications in journal papers and conference proceedings. He has experience in EC FP6 program and national projects as a coordinator. He has also been working as an expert of the EC FP 7 Energy Program Committee; as an expert member of Task 23 (Small scale reformers for on site hydrogen generation) of IEA Hydrogen Implementing Agreement; as a member of European Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Platform Research Grouping (N.ERGHY). He is also institutional contact point of EC FP7 program of TUBITAK MRC Energy Institute.
