Biographical: Eric Ravey is Composite Specialist (Stress) on A350 Trent XWB turbofan and on Fans Engineering Methods at Rolls-Royce-UK. He studied Composites at Polytec-Chambéry & Montpellier (France), gained a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cranfield University (UK) and worked for Dassault & Aerospatiale. He joined Rolls-Royce in 1998 to build-up his experience on European / North-American engine projects (Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier). He has also been involved in collaborative research for VITAL European project and on composite simulation with the Universities of Bristol, Cambridge, Oxford, Cranfield, Nottingham & Ulster. He is also a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Chartered Engineer.
