Dear Fadia,
Here in Japan there is a very strong medical research and medical teaching culture. I have lived here many years, and can say from experience that there are many good, well-trained doctors here. It would definitely be worthwhile for you to look for possible areas of collaboration. The University of Cairo now has a branch office in Japan. I remember seeing an article in the newspapers about this, but do not know any details.
