Biographical: Dr Hamdy Abdelkader: Hamdy received his BPharm from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt and he has been a registered pharmacist since 2001. He has worked as a hospital pharmacist for one year at The General Naval Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt. Then, he moved to academia as he has been appointed as a tutor in Pharmaceutics Department, Minia University, Minia, Egypt. He completed his master degree on various formulation strategies to solve biopharmaceutical problems for centrally acting muscle relaxant (baclofen) and the NSAID nimesulide. Hamdy was granted a PhD scholarship to pursue his PhD study in New Zealand. his PhD was supervised by Prof. Raid Alany and the topic on ‘Design and Characterisation of Niosomes For Ocular delivery of Naltrexone Hydrochloride’ . Hamdy finished his PhD study at the School of Pharmacy, The University of Auckland in August 2011 and was immediately employed as a lecturer in Pharmaceutics, Minia University after returning to home country Egypt. Hamdy has supervised two summer students in the area of ocular and transdermal drug delivery. He is an author on over 20 scientific research publications.
