Work: I am a Board Certified Medical Illustrator focusing on all aspects of visual communication for health care, science, and medicine. In addition to biomedical illustration, I am experienced in instructional design, user-centered design, graphic design, and the study of adult learning theory.
Biographical: Joanne is Founding Partner of Haderer & Muller Biomedical Art, LLC based outside of Boston, MA, USA, and holds a master's degree in Medical and Biological Illustration from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in addition to a degree in Commercial Art. Joanne has extensive experience in digital and traditional 2D biomedical illustration, and regularly works with researchers and physicians both nationally and internationally as well as with advertising agencies, medical institutions, and medical publishers. Joanne has been invited to exhibit her work and present on the field of medical illustration internationally. She is an active member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and serves on several AMI committees.
