Biographical: Liyan Song is an associate professor of “Chongqing Institute of Green Intelligent and Technology (CIGIT), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS)”, where he served as the faculty since November 2011. He received his Ph D in Environmental Engineering in Tongji University, Shanghai PRC, in Sep 2006, and held two posted postdoctoral positions in Michigan State University (MSU) and University of Michigan (UM) from Jan 2007 to Dec 2009, and Jan 2010 to Oct 2011, respectively. He currently leads the Environmental Microbiology and Ecology (EME) Center at CIGIT, which focus on integrating microbiology, molecular biology, ecology, environmental chemistry and dynamics in environmental pollution and control to further our understanding of environmental pollution and control process.
