Mohamed A Baky Fahmy, MD, FRCS, is a professor of pediatric surgery, Al Azher University, Egypt. He graduated from Al Azher University and Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and trained in the field of pediatric surgery at Egypt and Manchester, UK. He is the founder and chief of the pediatric surgery depts at Al Galae hospital and Al Zahrae University hospital, Cairo. He had a wide experience for more than 35 years with a special interest in pediatric urology, rare genitourinary anomalies, pediatric gynaecology. He is member of British Association of Pediatric Surgeons since 1994 and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Global Rare Disease Registry (GRDR), and American Association of Academic Surgery. He is co-editor for many international journals, and had a wide range of international publications, and he is an innovator of operations and procedures in pediatric surgery and pediatric urology. He is the author of a recently published 3 Illustrative textbook: Rare Congenital Genitourinary Anomalies, Congenital anomalies of the penis and Umbilicus and umbilical cord by Springer, and Complications in Male circumcision published by Elsevier.
