Biographical: I am an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Department of Chemical Engineering, Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), Jordan. Recently, I have one year sabbatical leave at King Khalid University (KKU), Abha, Saudia Arabia as chairman of Chemical Engineering Department for this academic year. On the other hand, I finished my doctorate degree from Unversitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), Spain. I would like to mention here that the Ph.D. program at this university is in English with graduate courses in the field of chemical engineering. During my doctorate study at URV, I had a research work for a round half year at School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of Virginia (UVA), USA. Last year, I Joined Thermo-Fluid-Dynamic Institute at Technische Universitat Hamburg-Harbug (TUHH), Germany, through a research visit sponsored by German Research Agency, in which I performed a Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements for complex flows. The aforementioned schools of engineering I learned at and worked for gave me wide experience in Chemical Engineering. My native language is Arabic and I speak both English and Spanish. I am teaching in English and all my publications are in English too. My research interests are in the fields of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), shear-driven flows of incompressible fluids, transport phenomena, separation processes, and mixing enhancement for reactive/noncreative systems. I had 20 papers, published with other researchers, in international journals and conferences that are well-known in the field of chemical engineering. In addition to my research and academic experience, I occupied the chairman position of the Department of Chemical Engineering at BAU for the years 2005 and 2006. Then, I became a dean assistant of the Faculty of Engineering Technology at the same university for the years 2007 and 2008. Mohammad Al-Shannag Associate Professor Chemical Engineering
