Biographical: Nuri Azbar was born in Izmir Turkey in 1967. He graduated from Dokuz Eylul University with Bsc degree in Environmental Engineering. He completed his MSc education with a dissertation thesis on "Defuoridation" in 1993 at the same department. He had his PhD degree from Vanderbilt University, Engineering School, USA, on anaerobic bioprocesses. His main professional research interest areas are biofuels focusing biohydrogen, and biomethane and environmental biotechnology. His academic works focus on biorefinery concept in a way to recover the economic vaue of organic waste materials in the form of bioenergy or value added product such as biopolymers. Prof Azbar is a member of International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE) and Turkish Chamber of Environmental Engineers. He is also founder member of Biohydrogen division under IAHE.
