Work: Reseacher in medincal plant crops and products, with 15 years experience in professional organic horticulture, growing and processing crops such as Artemisia annua. Just completed a Masters (MSc with distinction) in botanical conservation and looking for work in this field relating to medicinals or in the ethnobotany of medicinal plants. My research dissertation was using biochemistry to develop chemical fingerprinting using HPLC-DAD amd LCMS, to distinguish different species of Epimedium used in traditional Chinese Medicine as 'yinyanghuo', also to look at seasonal variability of key bioactive compounds, also variable quality between trade samples.

I like your profile. I am into medicinal plant research with special interest on tropical plants and infectious diseases. I am a missiologist and have anthropological background. Despite my lack of scientific background, I am forging ahead with ethnographic research method.
