Work: •Interpretation of water quality data including groundwater, surface water, and irrigation water. •Studies on occurrence, mobility and geochemistry of toxic elements including fluoride, nitrate and arsenic. •Delineation of area risk-maps for the distribution of toxic substances. •Determination of sources of pollutants and their environmental distribution. •Environmental pollution studies/analysis related to water, soil, clay and rock. •Epidemiological studies/survey of toxic effects of various environmental contaminants on the health of people. •Characterization of the harmful effects of hazardous materials. •Exploitation of indigenous materials for adsorption/removal studies for the development of removal technologies.
