A rural-urban political ethnographer with British postgraduate training in History (PGDip - De Montfort) and Sociology (MPhil - Bangor; PhD - Huddersfield), Robert teaches technology & human values at UAkron.edu and conducts ethnography in the USA, UK, and UAE from mainly a Cultural Studies perspective. His research interests are rooted in rural-urban political ethnography of alternative subcultures in the Anglo-west, including Greens, Libertarians, Muslims, Old Order Anabaptists and Sikhs.
