Work: Professor of bioinorganic and analytical chemistry.PI of two international projects in the field of developing chemo and biosensors for biomedical and environmental applications. We are also interested in developing sensor teststrips and high-through put microtiterplates for quality control in food analysis and biomedical as well as environmental applications.
Biographical: This book reflects a decade of intense research on the recognition of N-acetylamino acids and DNA constituents by potentiometric , electroanalytical and luminescence techniques, culminating in excellent successes over the last few years which have resulted in the publication of a number of scientific papers in international journals and funding of two international collaborative projects .In the book’s sections ,the authors cover introductory topics ,fundamental chemistry, materials synthesis and recognition process using physicochemical techniques as well as an outlook on new directions for DNA and N-acetylamino acids recognition. Professor Hassan Azab joined Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt in 1994 as a professor of Analytical Chemistry and head of the chemistry department, faculty of science. He worked as vice dean for students affairs at the faculty of science in the period 2001-2003.He received several international awards including DAAD, DFG, TWAS, Senior visiting award to UWO, Canada, Expert visit award to Saskatchewan university, Canada and visiting professor award to BYU ,USA.He worked as PI for two international collaborative research projects in the field of developing chemo and biosensors for safeguard and environmental monitoring in Egypt and the determination of amines in environmental samples using sensor teststrips and high throughput sensor microtiter plates.
