Biographical: I graduated from Victoria University Wellington in 2007 with a Masters Degree in Marine Biology. While studying I worked at the National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. I have recently joined the National Institute of Water and Atmosphere in Wellington New Zealand.

I was in NZ recently and enjoyed a visit to Lake Ferry near Wellington... a great place to watch the sea and land collide.
If you are ever in Japan, the museum where I work has a nice display of old Japanese fishing gear and methods (National Museum of Ethnology, Osaka).
