Biographical: Mycologist/Mycotoxicologist with experience in both teaching and research in Pasteur Institute of Iran and other resarch centers. The main area of my research interest is investigation on cellular and molecular aspects of aflatoxin biosynthesis and the endogenous pathways facilitating the toxin excretion in Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus. Demonstrated for the first time the possible correlation between glutathione S-transferase (GST), neem (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) mediated inhibition of aflatoxin synthesis and ultrastructural morphology of fungal compartments in aflatoxigenic fungi. Involving also in the production of anti-aflatoxin monoclonal antibodies. Extensive experience in cell separation and fractionation, protein extraction and purification , enzyme manipulation, antibody production in experimantal animals (poly and monoclonal antibodies), Chromatographic analyses of proteins and mycotoxins specially TLC and HPLC analysis of aflatoxins, identification and purification of effective inhibitors of aflatoxin biosynthesis from microorganisms and plants and electron microscopy of filamentous fungi. First demonestration of specific inhibitors of AFG series biosynthesis, Dillapiol and Apiol, from the essential oils of Anethum graveolens and Petroselinum crispum, respectively.
