Biographical: Mohamed Nayel was born in Assiut, Egypt, on April 15 1973. He received the B.Sc. and M. Sc. degrees from Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt, in 1996 and 1999. He obtained his Dr. Eng. from Doshisha University, Japan. He was employed by Assiut University from 1996 to 1999 as a demonstrator and from 1999 to 2004 as an assistant lecturer and as lecturer from 2004 to 2009. He is now an Associate professor since 2009. He was a postdoctoral for two years in China Southern Power Grid Company and Tsinghua University, China, involving the study on lightning protection of UHV transmission lines.
