Biographical: My research interest include climate changes impacted on water resources in Africa, quantifying water dynamics using environmental isotope tracers and integrating water resource assessments, currently focusing on transboundary aquifers in Africa(39 aquifers) Prof.Dr Samir Al-Gamal is a Principal Research Scientist and Stream Leader for two research streams within the Shared Water Resources for Africa : •  Major aquifer basins (39 aquifers) in Africa  Groundwater Characterization and Management With emphasis on the impacts of climate change using environmental isotopes. • He has recently established new dimensions of seismic –induced hydrologic change for transboundary aquifers in Africa and recharge mechanism to major border-crossing aquifers using environmental isotopes with a focus on understanding the impact of climatic changes on water resources in Africa using geochemistry and isotopes.
