Long term experience on applied cattle and sheep extensive systems throughout much of Latin America, including tropical pasture research, systems analyses and modeling, the effect of technical innovations on systems' outputs, including herd dynamics, production, and more recently, GHG production and simulation of C balances. Former senior scientist and program leader at CIAT (Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical; Cali, Colombia, and professor at several universities in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
