Work: Japanese social issues, including racial and ethnic minority groups in Japan, the Japanese media, politics, war memory. Sociological issues such as role theory and the sociology of knowledge.
Biographical: Can read Japanese and German and speak both with a moderate degree of proficiency, but my native language is English. Provided my thesis is approved, I've just finished up an M.A. in Japanese Studies.
