Hello, and welcome to the Research Cooperative. Thanks for joining.

One of the main goals of this website is to help scientists turn their findings into publishable research, by offering them access to others with the skills to help them -- ideally on a volunteer basis, but also paid. Even a simple review of someone's paper by a volunteer can move it a long way towards being publishable. There's really no limit, though, to the number of ways in which researchers and professionals around the world can help each other once they've established a connection, so we don't want to limit the scope of the site to publishing assistance even though that's a focus.

The 'Offers and Requests' section is where you can find calls for assistance, or offer your own. 'Members' allows you to search through the database of members by interest or location, which could be helpful if you need, as an example, to ask someone in Australia "Which is the best materials lab in Sydney?" Don't be afraid to reach out to members; it's what makes a network like this useful. And if you have any suggestions about how to make the site more useful or dynamic, we'd like to hear them.

Yours,

Sam Bradford (admin)
