Title: Introducing the Research Cooperative - an NPO network for researchers, editors, publishers and others
Date: Sat, Oct 23, 2010 at 9:03 PM

How do specialists in typography, layout, and production for publishing get experience and become professional?

The Research Cooperative is possibly the first and only social network that puts learners, professionals, scientists, editors, copy-editors, proofreaders, illustrators, translators, and publishers all on the same page. For all of these people, typography, layout and production are important.

The network has been designed to promote more effective communication between all the people involved in the writing and publishing process. We have more than 3,000 members representing most regions of the world, an enormous range of research topics, and a very wide range of languages.

We invite all members of TYPO-L to visit our site and consider joining.

See: http://researchcooperative.org

The network is exceptional in that we actively encourage learners to join as well as established professionals.

Our forums are designed to facilitate communication between those who can offer a service, and those needing a service. We also have many different groups within our network to consider diverse aspects of writing and publishing. It woudl be great if we can establish a group that focuses on typography, layout, and production.

I would personally welcome any questions or comments from members of this list about the Research Cooperative, in replies to my work address below... and I look forward to learning more from TYPO-L.

Yours sincerely,

Peter (Network creator)
