Volunteer positions at the Research Cooperative
A variety of volunteer positions have been offered at the Research Cooperative. Those who accept these positions will be formally introduced on our website.
After a reasonable period of time (a few months for example) and evidence of effort, the position can also be reported as volunteer work experience. We are more interested in longer-term sustained efforts (with a light work load) as it is important to take time to become familiar with the Research Cooperative, its members, and the effects of your own efforts.
The following positions are currently on offer:
Country Coordinator
To manage a country-centred Group page and help raise awareness of the Research Cooperative in that country in various ways. For this position, competence in a language other than English may be required. Coordinators are needed for every country!
Language Community Coordinator
Many different languages are used for research-based writing. Currently the Research Cooperative targets all languages from an English base. For each language represented in the Research Cooperative, we hope to have a Language Community Coordinator who can help raise awareness of the Research Cooperative among all those use the language for research-based writing, editing, translation, and publishing. For this position, competence in a language other than English is definitely required.
Networking Assistant
To help new members find and make contact with other members. For this position, basic competence in English and a diplomatic approach are needed.
Message Assistant
To help new members write their profile details (short cv etc), offers, or requests, in the Research Cooperative pages. For this position, fluent English and a sympathetic editorial approach are needed.
Please contact Dr Peter Matthews (pjm-at-gol-dot-com) at any time, if you can help.
