Many organisations support many kinds of volunteering.

The Research Cooperative supports vounteering for science communication.

An organisation of possible interest for all volunteers is the International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE). The Association describes itself as follows.

"Founded in 1970, IAVE exists to promote, strengthen and celebrate volunteering in the myriad ways it happens throughout the world. It is a global network of NGOs, businesses, national volunteer centers and grassroots leaders of volunteering, with members in 70 countries across all the regions of the world."

To promote a stronger volunteering ethic in the world of science communication, there may be much that the Research Cooperative and our members can learn from IAVE.
