The third international meeting on Visualizing Biological Data (VIZBI) was held 6-8th March at EMBL Heidelberg, in Germany.

An odd acronym. More visual than literal.

The meetings are organised by the European Molecular Biology Laboratories (EMBL) and European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO), to bring together scientists, illustrators, and designers who use 'computational visualisation' methods.

Does anyone here know anyone who knows someone who has been to a conference on computational visualisation?

At the other end of the scale, is there any university that teaches basic observation, hand-drawing, and graphic design techniques to undergraduate science students, as a full course?
