Advice on how to use our Japanese language page
This note is based on comments sent to a member of our Japanese language page. It would be useful if similar topics could be explored by all our language focus groups.
Dear (Language page member),
In our language focus groups, it is useful if members can introduce language services they know or are interested in.
You can (for example) introduce active links using the chain-link symbol in the editing bar above the new message window.
Consider giving the Japanese name of the link destination first, then English name in brackets, and then use the combined names as highlighted link text.
Within one message, stick to one topic and one kind of link - e.g. if translation is the topic, you can give links for translators, along with a message about the services offered, and the request for comments from readers o fyour message.
Later, if you wish, the message can be edited by you to add or subtract information. Or a new message can be written as a natural sequel to the first.
A series of topics to report on (and to ask about) could be something like this:
1) Translation services
2) Interpreting services
3) Japanese-language editing services
4) Bilingual academic publishers (e.g. Kodansha; academic societies; universities) inside Japan and outside Japan.
5) Books on academic writing, written in Japanese, or translated into Japanese.
6) Specialist dictionaries for translation between Japanese and other languages

There is so much to be explored, in relation to every language in the world!
