Link checking for Research Cooperative

Thanks,

What we need is someone to go through all or many of one particular kind of information or text area in the site, to see if there are any common problems. The links between Group pages can get broken when I make changes to Group page titles for example. So it would be good to go through the Group page description texts to make sure the links to other Groups are working.

A larger job are the notes.... but this can be reduced by looking at Notes that might most often be visited by people; e.g. the FAQ notes.

Probably the most likely area to find broken links is in pages set up to link to outside websites (e.g. the pages for publishers).

Volunteers are needed for the tedious work of checking that links are active, within the many various pages of the Research Cooperative (and in the 'Notes' and Group 'About' sections especially).

We do not plan to check links within the personal blog postings of all members, but it can sometimes be useful to add comments updating links (or asking authors to update links) that have been mentioned by other members in our forums and group pages.

Thanks (in advance),

Peter (Admin., Research Co-op)
