Dear Levi,You are welcome to make a request for (occasional) translation help in our main forum for this purpose, and you can make it clear that you need a volunteer. You can also do a search for members with an interest in mathematics and based in Japan, using the various search options, and then try making a direct approach to those members if they seem like people who might be able to help you.And finally, have you had any useful advice from the Student Affairs section of your university administration?Best wishes, Peter (Kyoto, for Co-op)

If you are an academic/scientific research writer , then this is a forum where you can make very specific requests for help from translators who have experience with your subject. If you have limited funds and need a volunteer (or someone who can accept a nominal fee), you can ask for this also. There might be someone looking who needs experience translating in your subject area, or has their own special interest in your subject. If you are technical writer , or any kind of writer needing the help of subject specialists, then this forum may be useful for you too.If you represent a publisher, translation company, or translators' collective , and are seeking new staff or associates, this forum is also an appropriate place to make requests. It costs nothing but your time to join the Cooperative, and your request can be as general or specific as you want it to be. We are working to promote this site so that it will become and remain a well-known place to look for translating requests. Please tell others about us!
