As "Cooperative2010" I am a member who joined the Research Cooperative via Twitter.
The Research Cooperative now has a system that allows its members to share their posts on the Research Cooperative with Twitter and other social networks. But we have to be members of the other networks in order to share with them.
"Cooperative2010" happens to have an account at Twitter, so should be able to share blog posts and other postings to Twitter.
Now I would like to see if the sharing actually happens, after selecting Twitter in the "Networks" panel in my profile "Account settings" page.
In the page for composing this blog post, there is an option to "Share Activity with ... Twitter", and this has been checked to make it active.
So let's see what happens...
(1) You should see a Terms of Service page that has to be accepted with a check box.
(2) You will see your mostly blank profile page.
(3) You will see your username in the main menu, and under that a Private Note tab, with already one private note to read. The text should be something like this:
[your username], [date] [time] (of account creation)Thank you for creating your account! You created your account by linking up with twitter, so we've created you a new temporary password that you can use to log into the system without relying on twitter (although you can alwayslog in using twitter too):user: [your username]pass: [a hard to remember number]Please change your password as soon as you can:https://researchcooperative.org/user/accountWe look forward to seeing you online!
