Preparing Future Faculty Postdoctoral Fellowship Positions

The University of Missouri iscommitted to the advancement of teachers, scholars, and researchers who canhelp it achieve the benefits of a diverse educational environment. The Preparing Future Faculty Postdoctoral Program for Faculty Diversity is designed topromote and develop such scholars for tenure-track faculty positions at the University of Missouri and elsewhere, in any discipline. PostdoctoralFellowships are for two years during which time Postdoctoral Scholars focus onscholarship and participate in an array of professional development activitiesthat integrate and expose them to the faculty experience, including theopportunity to teach in their discipline the second year.

The starting stipend will be $56,000per year including University benefits. Fellows will be provided withprofessional development funds that may be used to attend a scholarly meeting,to travel to other campuses as necessary for scholarship, and/or for programprofessional development activities.

Applicants who have completed their doctoral degree at an accredited university by July 1, 2018 are eligible to apply. Current postdoctoral fellows also may apply if their doctoral degree was awarded in or after Spring 2013. Applicants should demonstrate how they cancontribute to faculty diversity, such as through membership in a group that ishistorically underrepresented and/or underserved in a particular discipline orthrough other training or experience.

·       Statement ofresearch plans
·       Statement of goals for postdoctoral position
·       One page abstractof doctoral dissertation
·       Writing sample
·       3 letters ofreference [N.B., those identified to provide a reference will be prompted toupload a letter to the system]
