Our first conversation - a mystery from 1961

The photo above has been published on Wikimedia Commons from the archives of the former German Democratic Republic (DDR). I have chosen the photo as it symbolises one way that students the world over can seek an education - by travel and separation from their home country.

I hope the subject had a good stay in Germany, and was able to return and enjoy her life in Ghana, or elsewhere. Perhaps we will some day learn more about this story, through this page. Meanwhile...
