Open access journals flourishing in Brazil
According to the Directory of Open Access Journals, there are currently 577 open access journals published in Brazil.
Many of them publish in multiple languages (e.g. Portugese, English and Spanish), so there must be a great need for editors from many different linguistic backgrounds.
The Research Cooperative may be able to help these journals build their human support networks.... but we need our existing members in Brazil to take a lead in approaching journals and telling the editors and publishers about our network.
If anyone can help us, please contact Dr Peter Matthews (researchcooperative at gmail dot com).
Thank you, P.
