Open access journals in Turkey

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) has a page showing how the number of listed journals has increased greatly in Turkey over the last few years.

By 2011, the number reached about 170.

Many of these journals are published by universities or specialist research organisations. It seems there is generally a good level of support for local research publishing in Turkey, by institutions at least.

Do researchers in Turkey give these journals good support, through author contributions, academic reviewing, editing, and as readers?
