ABOUT this group

Ethical guidelines exist or are needed for all aspects of research, including:

- conception of a research plan, 

- conduct of research (including communication during the research), 

- communication of results, and 

- the uses or possible uses of knowledge gained.

"Integrity" may apply more closely to the aspects of conduct and communication. The terms are obviously overlapping.

The aim of the present group is to consider a range of general and specific approaches to research ethics and integrity, highlighting the approaches taken by different disciplines and in different countries.
