'Learner to learner' page closed
The 'Learner to learner' group was established in 2008, and then closed in 2009, due to a lack of interest (no members joined). It may be unrealistic to expect members to identify themselves as learners, and the suggested aims overlap with our more-obviously useful page for 'Writing advice'.
For future reference, I am recording the group details here:
Group title: Learner to learner
Description: Need help? Need experience? Learners can help each other, learner to learner. Mutual help can be enjoyable, free, and an effective way to gain experience and become professional
Location: International
About:
Our aim here is to encourage communication between Co-op members who have identified themselves as 'learners'. Please give help others, and develop your own skills at the same time.
Members who have described themselves as learners (see list here) include undergraduate students, graduates, and experienced professionals who still regard themselves as learners. In any case, do not be too shy about offering or requesting help as a learner.
If you have a serious need for help, and cannot afford to pay for a professional editor or translator (for example), you are welcome to use our forums (see main page) ask other Co-op members for volunteer help. Such help is more likely to be offered by another learner than by a professional who is editing or translating for their living.
Or, if you are not ready to make a direct request for help, you can tell us about your situation here, and ask for advice on how to proceed. The message board (below) is open for all discussion related to (i) the needs of learners, and (ii) ways in which learners can help each other.
