Who is paying for the network?

[Return to FAQ]

Costs for network operation, development and promotion are currently paid by P. J. Matthews, the network creator, and current Chief Administrator, from his personal income. On behalf of the network and our members, I am seeking wider financial support through donations, advertising revenue, and sponsorships.

Advertising enquiries: Please contact theChief Administrator after seeing The Advertising Page, where advertising opportunities are explained and illustrated.

The Research Cooperative aims to (1) be financially self-sufficient through such sources, and eventually through investments (currently we have no funds to make any investments with), (2) employ a team of at least two or three support staff, and (3) be formally registered as an NPO in New Zealand and other countries.

Formal registration is likely to require establishment of a volunteer board of directors, and engagement with professional accountants and lawyers - expenses that we cannot yet afford.

Donations can be made by voluntary subscription payment, by donation via Paypal, or by direct transfer to the network bank account in New Zealand (details below). Please contact Peter Matthews (researchcooperative at gmail dot com) when making a donation, so that we can confirm, record and acknowledge the donation in a suitable manner. Donations to the Research Cooperative are not tax-deductable.

We are also seeking financial and non-financial sponsors (as explained here), and volunteers with communication abilities and time to help with: greetings (for new members), writing, translation, promotion, research, and development. Please contact Dr Peter Matthews for more information (email: researchcooperative at gmail dot com).

For summary information regarding donations and other revenue received by the Research Cooperative, see: subscription records, Network Development Fund, and advertising revenue.
