Calling editors and proofreaders to support the World Archaeology Congress in Kyoto
A few minutes ago I posted an announcement about the 8th World Archaeology Congress to be held in Kyoto next year.
This will be a big event, and also a linguistic challenge because the WAC series has a very strong policy of encouraging participation by researchers and students from any country - regardless of economic or linguistic background.
The Congress is nevertheless predominantly English in its operation, as a common language is needed for a meeting of this sort.
So... there will certainly be a great need for editors and proofreaders with interests in archaeology, and willing to deal with all levels of English writing or speaking ability.
Some presenters may simply be looking for help with a script that is just for a spoken presentation, which requires a different kind of editing than a full academic paper.
If you would like to catch the attention of archaeologists looking at our announcement, please leave a comment on the announcement page.
Facilitating proactive communication among authors, editors, and proofreaders is the primary aim of our network.
Please do not be shy to advertise any offer you can make to support the communication of archaeological debate and research.
Thanks.

If you see any problems with the official WAC8 website, please do not hesitate to contact me or the organisers to point these out. (Thanks again.)
