Work: I edit the Community Eye Health Journal, which is sent free of charge to eye care workers in developing countries. The journal has both a clinical and a public health focus, and our aim is to support the training and education of eye care workers working to elminate avoidable blindness. We are part of the WHO initiative called VISION 2020. I would be interested to get in touch with experienced health writers and photographers in Africa, Latin America, and SouthEast Asia who are looking for international exposure and who would be willing to take on small pro bono projects. The journal is published by the International Centre for Eye Health, a non-profit organisation based at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. We currently distribute over 30,000 copies of the journal in English, French, Chinese, and Spanish. Visit www.cehjournal.org for more information and to download free copies.
Biographical: I offer the following services: Current position: Editor, Community Eye Health Journal (www.cehjournal.org) Previous position: Science Writer/Editor, Medical Research Council of South Africa
