I would be willing to help with indexing. If you can supply a copy of the draft index and any of the material to be indexed (a chapter or paper, perhaps?), I can give you a quote on cost.
I can work with your editorial input and from your draft index, but Ido not use any machine indexing. While I do often pick up terms and names from the text, my approach mainly involves reading the material for concepts and writing relevant index entries. I also aim to create entries that will provide the reader with alternate entry points, i.e., terms that may not be used in the text but that may occur to the reader. I use dedicated indexing software to help me write the index, but it's function is mainly sorting and formatting entries (it does not analyse the text).
