As I mentioned before, you can choose whether you want basic proofreading at 10/1000 words, or proofreading and copyediting at 15/1000 words, and I also offer a reference - checking service at 0.50 per reference.

Thank you for your message. I would certainly be interested in proofreading/editing your papers.

My current rates are:

10.00 per 1000 words for proofreading. This includes checking spelling, grammar and punctuation.

15.00 per 1000 words for proofreading and light copy editing. This includes checking spelling, grammar and punctuation, cross-checking references and consistency in the document, and providing suggestions to improve clarity and flow of the text. Where appropriate, I also check that British or American spelling is used, and check that the document is formatted correctly for journals.

0.50 per reference for proofreading reference lists/bibliographies and ensuring they are complete and in the correct format.

I use the TrackChanges function in MS Word to show changes made in the text and to make notes of suggestions.

I am a native English speaker and hold a certificate in proofreading from the Publishing Training Centre. I have a Ph.D. in zoology, an M.Sc. in ecology and a B.Sc. in natural sciences, as well as a postgraduate diploma in statistics.

I have published my own scientific papers and have proofread many other papers and theses.

All documents in English are accepted, including theses, essays, books, grant applications and C.V.s.
