Thanks very much for joining. Our network is more-or-less based in Auckland and Kyoto (I have feet in both places).
One of the main problems for many members of this network is the difficulty in asking for help, or negotiating about a request for help, in English as a second language.
It's a Catch 22 issue.
I would be grateful for your thoughts on this (public or private).
Perhaps we need to build up a phrase-book with useful phrases that people can combine in various ways to describe their situation and more effectively ask for help.
The title of the book could be something like:
"Can we talk about it? Useful phrases for getting help and getting published"
